About Political Contributions

Ordinance No. 2955 of the City of Chula Vista limits contributions to campaigns for City elective office, either to candidate controlled committees or to regulated independent expenditure committees, to three hundred dollars ($300.00) per contributor. (Ord. 2955 § 1, 2004)

Contributions to the Pamela Bensoussan for City Council campaign are not tax deductible. When a contribution from an individual cumulatively amounts to one hundred dollars or more, the complete name, address, occupation and employer (or name of self-employed business) of each donor must be reported in the city campaign reports. No corporate or business checks are permitted. It is unlawful for a contributor to be reimbursed by any organization, business, or similar entity for a contribution supporting or opposing a candidate. Please use either personal credit cards or personal checks made out to "Pamela Bensoussan for City Council."
